Senate Passes Anti-lynching Bill
The Senate unanimously passed the anti-lynching bill also known as the Emmett Till Anti-Lynching Act. The bill makes lynching punishable by up to 30 years in prison.
Senator Tim Scott released an official statement via Twitter.
Tonight the Senate passed my anti-lynching legislation, taking a necessary and long-overdue step toward a more unified and just America.
