Over 20,000 People Dead After Earthquake In Turkey And Syria
A 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Turkey and Syria on Feburary 6, 2023. It has been reported that an estimated 20,000 people have died from the cornege of the earthquake.
The earthquake manged to bring down many apartment buildings leaving people trapped under rubble for hours. First responders have found a women who was trapped under rubble for 100+ hours.
Britain has provided 3 million pounds ($3.65 million) in aid to support search and rescue operations and emergency relief in Syria.
